Peace Paper Project is an international community-arts initiative that utilizes traditional papermaking as a form of trauma therapy, social engagement, and community activism. The program uses hand papermaking as a vehicle for personal expression and cultural change.
The portable studio model, which is the cornerstone of Peace Paper Project is not just about convenience; this system has become a passport to connecting with international communities.
Participants will learn how to make paper the first day, then add on new skills daily including papermaking from personal fibers, pulp painting, pulp printing, fine art papermaking, and bookbinding, including journals, sketchpads, and scrapbooks.
The final day will include an exhibition of your art for friends and family.
