For nearly 30 years, Art in the Park has been a cornerstone event for the Austin community, bringing together special education students, artists, and volunteers to celebrate creativity, community, and inclusion.

This annual festival is more than just an art event—it’s a day dedicated to ensuring that children with disabilities have the opportunity to explore and express themselves through art in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Students with disabilities often face challenges in accessing creative spaces. Art in the Park is designed to change that-by creating an environment where accessibility is the priority so kids of all ages and abilities can participate in creativity and art.

Interested in participating?

Art in the Park welcomes arts organizations, local businesses, volunteer groups, and individuals to host make-and-take art activities or lead creative projects and demonstrations. School groups, home-schooled children, and adult groups are also encouraged to attend and participate.
